Hand-Me Down Poem by Susan Lacovara

Hand-Me Down

Rating: 4.8

Give me back the worn shirt
that once, I thought your favorite-
so I can wrap myself in it
on days when I forget how you smell
or how much we loved each other
or what it felt like to be warmed
in your embrace
after being caught in a sudden rain

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM

Your words have reminded me of what I've always believed that love truly is... an imagination of the heart...
