Happiness Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Happiness

Rating: 4.0

Don't be the one to leave,
Happiness on hold.
Have it to know it had,
And live it.
Have it to know it had,
While...you...can!

Let go of people,
Who stay upset.
Over others annoyed.
Disgusted by their own mess.
Know you're not qualified,
To heal or cure their minds.
This you could never do.
Without them heard complaining,
All...the...time!

Get away from people like that.
Get-get-get,
Get away from people...
Who don't want you happy.
Get.
Get away from people like that.
Just get away from people,
Who don't want you happy.

It's difficult enough to struggle,
As...it...is!
So stay away from people,
Who don't want you happy.

Don't be the one to leave your happiness,
On hold.
Do your best to find something,
That is happy.
Happy with a happiness to have.
A happiness that leaves you feeling glad.

i'm not sure I know what's behind the theme of this poem, but I like its straightforwardness. I like the rhythm with which it moves. Thanks you.
