Have You Ever Poem by David Harris

Have You Ever

Everywhere you go there is old furniture,
but have you ever spared a thought
whose bottom might have sat on
the chair you are sitting on.
Have you ever asked yourself
who has looked into the mirror
you are looking into now?
It could have been a famous actor, a famous singer,
or a notable writer or royalty maybe.
Have you ever thought what if
their attributes rubbed off on you,
what would you do
and what would thee consequences be.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I have thought what you have written so well many a time. Touching old furniture as if it were alive with someones past history of memories. And yes, have viewed more than my own reflected image in an old silver backed worn mirrors. And then realize that I too will one day be that thought of another looking into the mirror or sitting comfortably in a chair I once reflected upon. God bless
