He's Getting There... Poem by Rebecca Navarre

He's Getting There...

Rating: 5.0

Even a small stone can damage.
A well oiled machine..So it don't
function, and then we can't manage.
All the demands at hand, to stamp
and seal. So now we no longer have,
that well greased wheel... And so we
turn and appeal. But, here's the deal.
Think about All God has got to
handle. Patience is a virtue,
sometimes we may need to light
a candle...Instead of curse...
Stop trying to coerce...
Unanswered Prayers...
Sometimes he too wears... We
got to believe they're in
his care! And he's getting
There...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I was vacuuming when, some small stones
caused my vacuum to break down. Cursing.. as I
struggled. Tired! I wanted to get home!
I began to appeal so to speak.. Saying God I Wish To Be Done,
And I continued on
impatiently.. Wanting to Kick it! ! ! ! And then thought
patients, He is busy Too, and Must have alot at hand to
get done. And he Too gets weary, wears out! He'll get
there, when he gets there...
And in this case, I will too.

I also learned from a Very Wise Poet, Papa! ..That,
God Always Answers, Just Sometimes He Says No....
For our benefit even If we don't Understand, He Does! ...

Wonderful poem, modern technology can test even the most patient of personalities, but good does move in mysterious ways sometimes.

That is one of my failures of character- -patience... or rather the lack of patience. I made a mistake one day and asked God for patience. So he has given me a lot of situations since then to practice patience! :) Your poem is spot on, Rebecca. I have found much faith in your faith poems- I hope you will always write them along with your other types of poetry!
