He Was Walking Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

He Was Walking

Rating: 5.0

On the highway
(Of course, an Indian highway)
My wife pointed to a signboard
showing speed limit 40 kmph.
My speedometer showed 140.
All on the highway
seemed to be racing one another!

All, but one!
He was walking!

The poet has failed to notice the signboard mentioning the speed limit 40 kmph....Loved the poet's joy of driving ignoring all rules and regulations! Enjoyed this wonderful poem.
