Healed - Poem by Mark Anthony Laxamana Viray

Gazing at the moonless sky as I sit alone in this cold night,
the silence so deafening, sound like my life slowly abating,
forgetting what used to be, used to have, what was then just like heaven, , ,
trying to fight this malady on my own, in my heart I know I must dethrone, , ,

Bubbly memories, unending promises and beautiful serenity,
now belongs to yesterday and never will see the eternity,
for even wherever I may hide, loneliness will surely find me,
and so I stand and face death and unearth the peace I long to see, , ,

Yet, sometimes a joke is never funny; lifeless I may not be,
but an angel beaming with hope like you I clearly see,
in the cold and darkness where I have stayed and lived,
a rain of sunshine, and a storm of light you have bequeath, , ,

Showed me magnificence in extraordinaire life can be,
sluiced the obscurity in my wrecked heart,
restored the genuineness in my life, , ,
in you I find bliss, with you nothing else matters, , ,

Now, I’m always looking forward for another day
to spend with you, the way you smile,
the way you giggle, the way you talk
and the way your eyes sparkle, , , pure innocence, , ,
simply heavenly, ,

I know if I don't tell you now, how much I love you,
it will be too late and I’ll regret it for the rest of my life, , ,
you have healed my heart from its incurable pain,
and let me escape from the hell I’ve lived, , ,
you have my heart soared to far reaches one can only dream of, , ,
you calmed my soul, freed my spirit, , ,
and now I know how it feels, to love and be loved, , ,
