Heart Attack Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Heart Attack

Today I saw a guy wearing one of those heart costumes, passing out flyers.
Soon as I saw him I started running after him.
He gave way to chase beginning to run. Tossing the flyers in the air.
In retrospect, there was no clear cut reason why I chased him the way I did.
Every corner, every which way he stumbled wearing that heavy suit.
I was right there. Some what amused at the way he wobbled left then right,
Bumping into people, knocking over trash cans,
Before long he was cornered in one of those no parking zones down town,
He turned around and asked why. Why are you chasing me the way you are.
In a strange sense I somewhat felt a peace of mind,
Always being the recipient of a racing heart, giving pieces of yourself only for it to come to an abrupt end
