Heart Shaped Stamp Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Heart Shaped Stamp

I grabbed the throb of my heart
And placed it in an envelope,
Hoping that if sent through the mail
You'd hear how it calls your name.
Innermost secrets breathed between the pause. To truly be home without worry of visiting.
A chance to travel to its favorite place
Knowing it doesn't have to leave.
A place where my love could lay freely
And love wildly as it calls your name.
Anxious, it pulsates through paper lips,
Soft whispers heard through aching ears.
As soon as you get it, only then I can rest comfortably.
Knowing that my heart is at ease.
Inside the caress of one who truly cares
