Hello Teacher

Rating: 4.5

What shall we give you oh Supreme Teacher?
Whatever we see here everything is feature.
Everything changes, does not last for long,
Mind waves move in illusion mind is hung.

While you teach we know the secret in life,
We are souls eternal cannot be cut in knife.
Neither does air soak, nor does water sink,
Nor does fire burn, we remain in your link.

You teach this secret by your mercy to us,
We do obey you and remember ever thus.
Never have we forgotten you on this earth,
Ever we have adored you to satisfy the birth.

Always you take care of us and come to teach,
While time comes you take back teaching each.
Being father you nourish, you love being mother
Being mentor show path, you save being saviour.

Oh dear Supreme teacher you are only merciful,
A fool breaks ignorance and gets instant light tool.
His life blossoms like lotus while truly loves you,
No matters keep knowledge, yours is ever new.

Oh dear ocean of knowledge, give us only a drop,
We shall light our lives all lands will give us crop.
Beloved God you are only the affectionate mentor,
Behold us, save us from sins, hello oh dear teacher.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A soul does conversation with Almighty and says, "Oh dear Supreme teacher, "What shall we give you? Everything is a feature here whatever we see. Here everything changes and does not last for long. Due to change in every second, mind waves move here and there and really mind is hung in illusion. We know the secret of life while only you teach us. We all are eternal souls, knife cannot cut us. Neither does air neither soak nor water sinks, nor fire burn. We always remain in your link. This secret you only teach us and we know. Thus we obey your teaching and remember you ever at all time. On this earth we have never forgotten you. To satisfy the human birth ever we have worshipped you here. Always you come to teach and take care of us. While time comes for our returning by teaching each soul you take back us with you. Being father you nourish us and being mother you love. Being mentor you show us the right path and always you save being saviour from unrighteousness. You are only merciful oh dear Supreme teacher. By getting your mercy a fool breaks ignorance and gets instant light tool means spiritual knowledge in his life. While he truly loves you his life becomes full with happiness and blossoms like lotus. He becomes pleasant giving in all regards. No matters in this universe keep the right knowledge like you. Your knowledge is ever new and we feel this ever new. You are only ocean of knowledge. Oh dear ocean, kindly give us only a drop of knowledge from this ocean. By getting only a drop we shall light our lives on Earth and by this all lands will give us crop. You are only our beloved God and affectionate mentor. Hello oh dear Teacher Supreme, you please behold us and save us from sins." This poem is written on occasion of Teacher's day in India and dedicated to the people of the world on 5th September 2014.

Mesmerizing words, absorbingly created. Complete poem about a Teacher, the one who teaches us almost everything IF he/she is a true and diligent teacher. I have enjoyed a very lot the poem. Thank you for sharing.

excuse me, everybody. maybe i am just a selfish american, but i would like at LEAST two drops of knowledge, please. if men had more knowledge, would the world be a better place to live, i wonder. i think a lot more than knowledge would be required. thanks for sharing. bri :)

Bhargabi, reading this poem was enjoyable, I especially liked your reference to the ocean - oh dear ocean of knowledge give us only a drop. Just a drop of knowledge can be profound and teach so much. It reminds me of a poem that I wrote about the ocean, can't remember the title of it - I write too much! Thank you for your comment on my poem Poorest Of The Poor, I definitely appreciate your taking the time to read and comment on it. RoseAnn
