Her Knight In Shining Armour - Poem by Victoria x Cain x

She always dreamt her Knight would save her.

She'd always dreamt he'd keep them safe in Heaven.

He'd fight the world to keep her.

He'd never run away...

Her hero never turned defeated,

Her hero never failed.

Strong as the bull that fights

Gentle as the breeze that slumbers in the morning sky...

She'd dreamt he'd never leave her side

That her Knight he would forever be...

He's kiss her in the morning light

And take her in the velvet of the darkest night...

Her Knight would be her love

Her hero would command the sun and moon

Glorious as the thunderous storm

Humble as the good that win...

She's always dreamt Knight were never cruel

That they never broke your heart

He wasn't supposed to beat her to the floor

(Gasping with every bloody look he gave)

(Drowning in the rubies flooding her eyes)

He'd never plauge her with a scurge of angry words

She'd never have to hide a body marked

With the painting of his hatred, rough and crude.

Crying in the darkness was not her dream

Fear was not her love

She'd always dreamt...

But still she loved...

And in the darkness of an empty cupboard she dreams...
