An excellent poem Indira. It seems you jumped a ten 'yozana' distance in a single effort in poetics. Profound and the end is just stunning.....reminding some of our Telugu greats.

An exquisite piece with some exceptional use of metaphors. A perfect 10. Pls do read my An Almanac Of My Being which is on a similar theme, though not half as good as this one.

'Sleep slips into regular folds'! What a brilliant line. The poem manages to combine the spiritual and the mundane with originality and a great feel for language. There is also a wry sort of angst which comes across loud and clear. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

How sad Indira, where life is emptiness find fulfillment, joy living each day, don't waste a gift so precious each day... Andy 10

i guess it's as empty as you wish it to be...the universe is empty and so are we but the life, the energy in us gives meaning to life...let us enjoy this energy...this gift...for one day it will be taken away from us...thanks you for this lovely poem

Professor Babbellapati...Stunning work! Your darting penchant for inventive depiction, an may be only superseded by your natural acumen for structural lay-out..As a rule i do not read bio's, but i read yours today, and it was no surprise to learn what you do for a living....Want a new student?
