Preferred toy in hand, playing,
In mother's lap and smiling,
To her lullaby listening,
Eyes on Ma, succumbs to sleep,
Here's happiness sound asleep.

Heavy school bags thrown aside,
Uniforms too by the side,
Bunking class, leave un-applied,
Bare bodied dancing in rain,
Here's happiness sans restrain.

Dreams and desires mute in mind,
A teenager in love blind,
At chosen place does when find
Her beau there, smiles a rare smile,
Here's happiness in beguile.

One day Ma wakes up early,
Finds the house bare and lonely,
And the door-bell rings promptly,
Daughter-kids hugging in glee,
Here is happiness to me.

The sun prepares when to pack,
Grandpa— nigh bent at the back,
Playing old cassettes from rack,
Breaks into dance with Dadee,
That's happiness yon age be.
