Hidden Message Poem by Shaun Cronick

I think I'll write a bad poem tonight,
I guess there's no change there then.
What I seek to discover is a good idea,
Then write it wretchedly with my pen.

A good idea to drain of bright colour,
A good idea to swamp and drown.
For I've a bad reputation to keep up,
And the world of poetry to let down.

Yes, a good idea to overflow with words,
To suffocate the real message intended.
But if people read between its lines,
They'll see a poem so very open-ended...
