Highly Respected To Endorse Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Highly Respected To Endorse

You and I,
And so many others too.
Have gone through a lot,
These past few years.
Questioning the truth.
And whether we were imagining,
Fiction to accept kept to delude.

A dawning of a new horizon,
Is appearing like none before to come.
Promising an end to division.
And the stopping of rising,
Racial conflicts.
With hopeful highly respected to endorse,
Therapists.
And not those who are physical.
What is most needed,
Are the mental professional ones.
Preferably dedicated.

We...
You and me.
And so many others,
Are in need of them.
Desperately.
To help us all,
See the B.S. for what it is to rid.
Scooped up.
Dumped in bags to go.
With them labelled,
'This Is Some Very Contaminating Stuff'.

And...
Forevermore,
Leaving everyone...
Left to identify and recognize,
Immediately the smell of it.
Before volunteering to assist,
To commit...
Hopefully never again.
Ourselves to remain loyal.
Pretending delusion is sacred.
Because we have been made convinced,
Truth and its reality to mention...
Is something no one patriotic,
Would dare admit!
