Hold Strong To Dreams Poem by Daya Nandan

Hold Strong To Dreams

A man should should never give up on his dreams,
For dreams truly change what reality seems,
They bring about a burning motivation to try,
And that is why one should never ever let dreams die,

A man without dreams is a bird without wings,
A puppet of the present controlled by evil strings,
He will become a slave of a mundane style of life,
Unable to truly live a full life, suicide by a knife,

Hope flies away in a world without dreams,
Skies darken without starlight and the moon beams,
Without dreams a man has no vision to look to,
No drive to push him to his goals so noble and true,

The world turns in black and white as the colours fade away,
Life slowly becomes a repetitive cycle as dreams and hope decay,
Another unrealized potential in the boulevard of broken dreams,
Suppressed goals and potential hides as your infinite soul screams,

If a man does not dream, a part of him remains asleep,
A portion of his soul lost, his subconscious mind will weep,
A dim light within, it's true form will remained unawakened,
And an alternate reality that could have been will be forsakened,

Hold strong to dreams, let not the fire within be extinguished,
Let there ambition, what is the use living in mundaneness and anguish,
Empower the essence of the soul, seek what the heart desires,
Unleash the flames within, a rainbow of blazing fires,

Work towards dreams, effort to reach a self made paradise,
Plan the future with a vision of both the mind and eyes,
Never give up on dreams, for without them we become blind,
And a future of brightness becomes a future that is hard to find.
