Holika Dahan Poem by Mohammad Muzzammil

Holika Dahan

On the eve of Holi, we gather around
With flames so bright, the fire's sound
We light the bonfires to mark the night
Of Holika Dahan, a symbol of might

The flames burn high, the embers aglow
As we offer our prayers, our spirits aglow
The triumph of good over evil we recall
As we celebrate the victory of one and all

We cast our offerings into the fire
As we watch the flames grow higher and higher
The warmth and light of the fire within
A reminder of the good that we must win

So let us gather and celebrate
The triumph of love and compassion over hate
As we light the bonfires and watch them burn
Our hearts and souls, with hope, we'll churn

For Holika Dahan is a time of renewal
A celebration of life, love, and all things beautiful
May the flames of the fire light our way
As we journey through life, day by day.
