Home Alone - Poem by kathryn _xo

Her parents said shed be all right home alone
but they'd do differently if they'd know
it'd only be a week, not a single day more
having her neighbors watch her just to be sure
she didnt want to be a kid anymore
they trusted her and left one night
truley believing everything was all right
after midnight she awoke with a fright
the sound of footsteps going down the hallway
then they suddenly started to come her way
her door swung open to reveal the burgler
she hid under the sheets so he couldnt see her
she couldnt see him but she knew he was coming closer
he removed her sheets, surprised to find her
before she could move he put a gun to her head
she thought that she'd surley be dead
but he couldnt let her go out this easily
his victims suffering made him happy
Dragging her out from the room kicking and
he said he's kill her if she kept struggling
took her to the kitchen has her on her knees
not listening to her frequent pleas
shot her once in the arm then she hit the floor
then he robbed the house and fled out the door
her parents came home to find blood everywhere
walked in the kitchen and saw her lying there.
