Hope - Poem by rifka rebeccah

When...
all doors are bolted;
all keys are lost;
all ends are dead;
all form is dross,
then...
suicide offers hope.

When
nothing nourishes;
noone is dear;
self disgusts;
nowhere is near,
then...
suicide offers hope.

When
victory vanishes;
peace is forbidden;
jealousy is justice;
competition ridden
with defeat.
There is no beauty.
Then...
suicide offers hope.

Sprinkles water
on a parched soul.
Irons out the frown
in a wrinkled forehead.
Whisks coloured wishes
through a dull grey mist.
Warms the fingertips.
Radiates purpose.
Inspires poetry.
