How Sweet Her Name To Me Does Sound

Rating: 5.0

How sweet her name does sound to me
What graceful music to my ear,
Like lark ascending to the sky
That sings for me a song so clear,
A phrase that echoes through the morn
That drifts across the hills and field,
And there unto my longing thoughts
With all the beauty it does yield.

How sweet her name does sound to me
A soothing stream that gently flows,
A soft refrain of silver calls
I'll follow her where're she goes,
Melodic charms I shan't forget
Imprinted so within my mind,
And every day that I shall live
A love so pure I'll surely find.

How sweet her name does sound to me
Like waves that roll upon the shore,
And all the time I think of her
My joy shall last for evermore,
No word I'll find that can compare
For sun to shine and clouds to part,
A gentle wind that whispers through
The trees into my loving heart.
