How Time Flies Poem by Kewayne Wadley

How Time Flies

Time passed us by, soaking the moments of each others time.
Sometime soon we really have to do this again,
Hanging out without much to do.
Walking around the mall, taking in the scents of the food court,
The many scented candles. Lingering in one spot.
The moments seemed to fly by, imagining which scent would smell the best on you.
The way your eyes glittered beneath the dim lighting.
Contemplation of flattering you with everything that's run through my mind.
Catching glimpses of your eyes connecting with mine.
Wondering when will be the next time I see you.
It's funny how time flies.
Considering the amount of time it took us to get here.
The flirtation of footsteps that echo close behind yours.
Finding ways to grab your hand without making it too noticeable.
It's funny how time flies.
Sometime soon we really have to do this again.
How I envy the annoying way time flies
doing something you really want to do
