I created a world of nothing,
To escape this plane of reality.
Leaving all firm substance behind,
Of its problems I'm finally free.
I'm king of my own domain,
This dimension of my mind design.
I come and go as I please,
In nothingness with no borderline.
In my endless land of nothing,
I only see what I want to see.
With no obstacles to surmount,
Where nothing never worries me.
Very interesting, highly original poem Shaun. In some ways it reminds me of John Lennon's Nowhere Man. The following quote from A Mid Summer Night's Dream (Act V, Scene 1) also springs to mind: ...I'm paraphrasing here: '... the poet's pen/ Turns unknown things to shapes and gives to airy nothing/A local habitation and a name.' You are definitely in good company here Shaun! Consequently, it's a phantsamgorical five from me! ! !
Thank you good Rose Marie for your most kind comment and take care.
