(((((I Don'T Need Your Hand Anymore))))) - Poem by Kristin Nicole RothDavis

I don’t need your hand anymore
You’ve made me strong
I am put here where I belong
You may not see the one light in me
Slipping away from your grip
Oh’ please just let me be free

I’ll never forget the moments you’ve saved me
All the days that you gave me breath
Reckoning with the devil
On my knees, praying for my life
You sacrificed just to make me who I am on my own
You don’t have to hold on anymore

I’m by far not the person I want to be
With your approval though
Allow me to be set free
If I need you I’ll come back to your awaiting arms
I know you’re always there to keep me from harm

I’ll never forget what you’ve done
You won’t ever have to worry
I won’t run
For now I can finally live on my own
This spirit has your love deeply sewn
Just allow me to show you my love
To you I give you my all ~ above!

I can live
For you have lived for me
I need you to officially set me free
I can love
For you have loved me
Back off and give me that space
You will finally see all in the right time and place!

I know you’ll be near
When the time comes filled with fear
Just as you’ve always been there
I accept you standing in the background
While I take each step alone
I understand you and I are always bound
Forever and ever ~ Amen!

An awesome work that exemplifies & amplifies th' true literary & real life definition
of PASSION & FORTITUDE.....Both of which have & always will be a part of your life, Kris, and are two of the most crucial virtues that will enable you to stand alone &if you so desire & take the victory, solo....BUT never, ever be under any mis-impression that you have to be standing alone...Because that will never be th' case....Beam me up, Poetess K.....YOU DO ROCK, & I MEAN 'R O C K'!

A write filled with strength and determination to make it. Independent.
A hand to hold sometimes makes the falls of life a little easier
