I Live In The Lower East Side - Poem by Lindsay Crosby

I live in the lower east side of this city
But like me its not very pretty
What is a girl to do?
I ask
At least I can hide my pasty complexion
And go unnoticed.

New York City
I see the jet planes that fly twice around you
There is something gritty about you
What is a girl to do
I sigh
Here I can hide in a lie
