I Love You Poem by Richard Wlodarski

I Love You

Rating: 4.2

I love you
Not for what
You're striving to be
Or for what
I'd like you to be
But for who you are

I love every thing about you
Not only your awesome smiles
That brighten even my worst days
But your frowns that admonish
I wasn't funny enough

I love not only your laughter
That calls to mind how good it is
To be alive and so in love
But also, your crying
For it cautions me
That love sometimes hurts
To accept the pain
Work through the sorrow
Better tomorrow

Beautiful, beautiful poem...it has a feeling that surrounded the reader, volatile and vulnerable one. Love the expression you shared here. To have someone to share life joy and pain with trust, giving and take is wonderfully felt in your poem. Indeed a beautiful poem Ric!

It's such a wonderful poem. Love means accepting the person you love in his or her wholeness even though at times some action or reaction may not be to your liking. Following lines are quite noteworthy: Not only your awesome smiles That brighten even my worst days But your frowns that admonish
