I'm Hungry... Poem by Annette Aitken

I'm Hungry...

Rating: 5.0

I'm Hungry...

I'm hungry for something different now,
there's always a sacrifice.
What if lines become blurred?
Between a morbid sense of delusion,
or keen insight into the human soul,
for tragic beginnings impact lives.
Dare I be undignified?
Dare I show a damaged side?
Show uncontrollable urges, that
could even defy gravity its self.
Will the human savage resurface,
could my needs be evolving?
Dare I step into another's world,
never to interact with another human.
Will it lead me to a better place
another universe, another life?

I don't think so...

Dare I show a damaged side? ... too late now, my dear! It's apparent that you've mastered an expose of your imperfections... and in this damaged world... you are perfect! ... Well written dear poetess.. and a delight in the read...

(continued) ...as for your last line, nicely separated from the others: I, Bri, THINK SO.............but NOT to ALL of your questions; not to SOME earlier ones of the poem. i think you HAVE dared to show a damaged side. good! and i'd love to see you defy gravity! ! maybe even become an astronaut? to MyPoemList. bri :)
