I Met The Passengers Poem by ANJANDEV ROY

I Met The Passengers

Rating: 4.7

I met the passengers,
The first passenger said to me,
'Do you recognise me? '
I said,
'No, '
The second passenger too asked me,
'Do you recognise me? '
I answered,
'No, '
Finally the third passenger asked me the same question,
My answer was the same,
After some time,
I remembered all the passengers,
I met them in the previous night in my great dream,
They helped me in my glorious journey in a significant way,
I wanted to tell them this,
But it was too late,
The passengers had already left the the place forever.

A writer and his muse are co-passengers in the poetic journey. Many things and many people inspire us to write a poem or a story.Even a negative character and his doings may force us to contemplate and pour out emotion through writings. We often forget who was behind our inspiration.

Does not matter if you missed them. More importantly, is the realisation that you missed them. You will never miss the next train.

Beautiful poem Anjandev! As Bharati says, i repeat, a writer and his muse are co passengers in the poetic journey. They are all seated deep within our conscience. We have to open mind's eye to recognise them.

I agree with Asim, we all mis the bus in life once in a while, life is a journey you should take with the person you love.
