I Miss You Friend - Poem by Mahek Jangda

I remember those days
When we sat on swings
When we saw the birds
And wished that we too could have wings

I remember those days
When we made perfect friends
When we adopted to each other's moods
And the changing trends

But here I am now sitting alone on the swing
From the day you went away
Gone is the joy in my life that you used to bring
And my days are all gray

I wait for a message
At least a word from you
But like everyone else
You've got new friends too

I see that old tree
Which was happy with the company of two
Now you're busy with your new life
But I still sit under the tree waiting and waiting for you
