The Trees-4, The Papaya(114)
The tree with sweet and beautiful fruit,
The tree with cute looking leaves,
The tree with beautiful single stem.
In single stem, the bunch of papaya,
In single stem, the beautiful designed leaves,
In single stem, the beautiful root grows.
The papaya tree, does not expect for water,
The papaya tree, does not expect for fertilizer,
The papaya tree, does not expect for any climate.
It has no difference in language,
It has no difference in caste or community,
It has no difference in religion or region.
The tree with papaya offering an sweet juice,
The tree with papaya offering to cook,
The tree with papaya offering as medicine.

Back in my childhood we had a papaya tree in our compound... to today, decades and decades later, again I am amidst a dozen papaya trees at Bangalore at my son's house. And I fully agree with what the poet says. Lovely fruit with a lot of health benefits. And I've never ate more papaya fruits ever,
