If Our Two Worlds Collide Poem by David Harris

If Our Two Worlds Collide

Rating: 5.0

You say it won’t work
I should look before I leap

You say its better
Not to be together or I’ll get hurt

You say our love will be
Like the morning tide that runs away

You say hardships
Will come our way if we fall in love today

You say our love will subside
If our two worlds collide

It's such a powerful emotion that sometimes we build walls against it out of fear! A very fine poetic articulation of perhaps the most resistant of them - the ones that often snuff it out before it gets off the ground. Deft and very full use of just a very few but very well chosen words. jim

Excellent littel write David, I say why not, take a chance, life if full of experiences. If it doesn't work out so-be-it, learn from that experience. What if it does work out, see what you would have missed. We don't live in a perfect world but sometimes as you know David, we could end up with a perfect love. (Live, love and be happy) . ---Melvina----

Perfectly put... to take the risk and the leap or not.... and if agreement can't be made, one can only hope for the collision... top notch. t x
