mountains high and grand,
valleys low and serene stand,
river flows between.
stars twinkle above,
moon shines brightly in the sky,
night spreads its embrace.
pain grips my heart tight,
sorrow clouds my mind each night,
desist from this fight.
love and hate collide,
a rollercoaster inside,
torn apart, no guide.
but in the end, we see,
that love and hate can both be,
realms of complexity.
All the best to your new venture of haiku series of your story. May your pen (or fingers?) be blessed with Godspeed!
2 on nature 2 on self and pain this is what I like about your poems. Good Job Poetic Sky.
I visited again this awesome poem with nice imagery. Congrats.
I LOVE your poem. I like that you did NOT force yourself to rhyme throughout, though I DO appreciate good rhyming, which you had. I LOVE the poem and give it 5 stars. *****
desist: 1 definition: 'To cease to proceed or act; to stop; to forbear; -- often with from.' I won't challenge myself to write such a restricting, technically, poem! ;) Nice job.
Wonderful depiction of the intricacies of life and love adorned with the beauty and wonders of nature. A well crafted and executed haiku. Top Marks!
