Institutions In Asian, African And Latin American Countries
Somewhere, somewhere, I don't know where,
but I believe there is a place in the body of institutions,
of many Asian, African and Latin American countries.
Like a typical girl of these areas,
who starts looking for a life partner,
keeps her virginity intact for him,
immediately after her puberty.
But the same innocent girl sacrifices her virginity
to win a spouse.
The girl is supposed to be a virgin at her wedding night,
a typical bridegroom in these areas never accepts a bride
with a broken virginity.
Somehow, somehow, I don't know how,
the institutions here undergo through such periods.
The institutions here keep their virginity intact,
and dream on their heads a charming Huma Bird,
but sacrifice it to a super power,
to become a lusty page for the book of history.
So plain and simple are the people of these areas,
they like striping of time,
welcome undue changes in the beginning,
come on the roads to protest against the porn,
but at least after a decade.
A thought provoking poem. An intelligent and keen observation on the social and political issues confronting the developing nations. Loved reading it.10++++
Most people don't think. They are people like we are. They just don't think.
so witty writings- like to quote and dream on their heads a charming Huma Bird, but sacrifice it to a super watcher, to become a lusty page for the book of history. great
like wise help the nations not to give too much importance to a thin membrane... perhaps it is like a hymen on a man's brain..different take Sir first I thought you meant a hymn! reading the title
An extraordinary comparison of Eastern and Western hymen but...now a days gals marry late play hockey football.. swim and go riding etc.. other private activities we must keep at the back of our minds... and so hymen may not remain intact..may be she is still a pure virgin - - so the need of the hour is to educate men..as also women suffered these long years...not to be able to beget a son.. when the deficiency remained within man's domain... now more have been educated....Pt 2nd
My poem is the story of institutions like judiciary, legilature, executive and the law enforcing agencies of the underdeveloped nations. They have lost their purity and grace. It's not a comparison between western and eastern societies.
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
A very thought-provoking observation. Social practices and obsessions vis-a-vis the political scenario in the developing countries. Thanks a lot.
