Is It… - Poem by Jeannie Anglin

Is it simply a close friendship?
Is it just flirting or does it mean more?
Is it the beginning of a relationship?
Please tell me, what is at the core?
What happens to the people we love,
If we let this continue on?
What if this is all I think of?
What happens to me when it’s gone?
How do I pick up the pieces of my heart
After I have torn it all apart?
How do I begin to live again
After I caused my own chagrin?
Love is a now thing of the past
No longer something that would last
Heartache and pain is what I know
So how can it be love that I show?
The pain is easier to believe
Than what you might conceive
I have been down this road before
I thought I moved past that door
Yet there it is right in front of me
Just waiting for the right key
Now I feel so scared and alone
I turned my back on what I had known
Too much of a good thing, I guess

quite introspective, yet white spumes heaves the blue by the sky, rain may bespeckle the luscious glow into flooding tears, wonderful write by ingenuity,10+++, thanks for sharing (Report) Reply
