It's Old Age Poem by Dorsey Baker

It's Old Age

Rating: 5.0

It's old age
And it don't seem to
Get no respect nowadays!
It's old age
And it's got a real bad reputation
Being that
Nobody wants it to
Ever come around!

It's old age
Everybody seems to be
Trying very hard!
To keep it undercover
It's old age

And doctors
They just don't know
How to treat it
Teachers don't know
How to explain it
It's old age
And one day
Without warning!
It will come and
Knock upon your door
If you ain't already dead!

Yup! I can totally relate to this poem! But, in spite of my age, I choose to think YOUNG! Give myself a break from the depressive state. Excellent poem, Dorsey!

No wonder some find poetry depressive. Otherwise, a fine poem.
