We're a speck in the universe
Just dust among the stars
But our egos are so vast
They make us who we are
We want to stand alone
Trampling upon all else
Forgetting we are all one
Just dust like all else.
Indeed our existence is nothing but a vast accumulation dust particles; fragile and vulnerable. Washed by the rain, blown by the storm, yet we endeavour great things, we conquer the great things and that makes us human, so brittle yet so strong. beautiful lines were they. Loved it! !
I think you are one of the poets whose compositions I read with utter curiosity.Very true words.thanks for sharing.
Thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my poems gurleen.
Just dust, indeed. Yet the human spirit soars. Somehow we have to find a balanced view of ourselves.
our egos are so vast They make us who we are We want to stand alone Trampling upon all else its a truth some times....like it

Thank you. Yes that's what I've tried to say and even when we are alive we are insignificant compared to everything in the universe.
