Just Imagine Poem by Mark Heathcote

Just Imagine

Rating: 5.0

Just imagine you didn't have long to live
what would you give to live that bit longer?
Just ponder; don't meander into overdrive
strive to answer like a cataloguer
what you've somehow had, lost and forgot
like the key to your house - standing outside
taking a long look to find access and plot
away back in, don't look mystified.
Your life is just a short story, chapter and verse
there's nothing to rehearse, acceptance
-isn't a curse; roll over a new stone, nurse
your old wounds and fight. Be impetuous,
just imagine life-is-a-wave returned
-to life, and nothing's ever adjourned.
