Kavita 13 - Loneliness

Rating: 5.0

Separated you are far from me
Together are just me and my loneliness

You have been just a dream
Reality is just me and my loneliness

This pain so severe, of separation from you
Shared just between me and my loneliness

First of all, thank you for opening up the world of Kavita Singh's poetry to those of us who only speak their native tongue. I would never have known her or her artistry if it had not been for your kindness. Thank you, thank you, thank you.... now I would love to read one of your epic poems... it has been quite a while since you've taken your fans on a journey to ancient times and ancient cultures.... :)

A lovely poem of loss and loneliness. A succinct gem of a piece. A lot said with an economy of words. A perfect 10.

Thank you Nosheen. Actually, every word of appreciation you have recorded here is due to Kavita. She has rendered it so beautifully. I have just tried to render it in English. Your words give me immense encouragement to attempt more translations. Thank you once again. You made my day! !
