Kelly Kurt's Parakeets Poem by Belle Wassermeister

Kelly Kurt's Parakeets

Rating: 4.5

The parakeets were unrestrained
and so the curtains got so stained
that those birds had to go.
Kelly misses them so,
but perhaps, next time they'll be trained.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Kelly left a comment on a poem of Wes Vogler. I think the title of that poem was "There's a Budgie on the loose".

I left this limerick there in response to Kelly's comment.

A nice limerick on a fellow poet's comment. Thank you for the Poet's Notes, which helped me understand the background story.

LBW, i had THE SAME PROBLEM, but with my twin daughters, Olive & Rose. I hated to see them go, BUT it WAS either them OR the curtains. It was an easy decision. bri :) to MyPoemList

A few were finger trained. None were potty trained. : -)
