In depths of night
Coffee so strong
Wakes me up now
To words then lost
Brilliant, Richard! I wonder how many times Kerouac had the experience of knowing just exactly what he wanted to say, only to have a few fleeting seconds steal the thoughts? Brilliant!
I too wonder about that, M.J. And because he first wrote in French and then translated his works to English, the whole process was further compromised! Always pleasant to experience your inquisitive mind, My Friend!
So true. This wonderful succinct poem resonates with me.Brilliantly crafted as always, Richard.
It always makes me happy when my poems resonate with esteemed poets/poetesses. THX so very much, Poetess Friend!

Losing words can be good sometimes, so we can meet again another time. A reunion of the same wandering thought at different time. Perhaps we see it more mature after sometimes. Time change it.
Such a great joy for me to hear from you again, Soul! I've really missed you, Poetess Friend! As always, I love reading your fresh perspective! It always inspires and motivates me! THX so very much, Soul!
