Kindred Spirits - Poem by Bill Cantrell

It is not a tricky eye
That reads the heart within a poem.
Nor the ear which has been trained
Who hears the rhythm of its beat.
'Hieroglyphics to the lost
And nonsense scribbled on the walls'
Poetry is understood when
Kindred spirits meet

Straight to the heart! Somehow it really is like this. I seem to find kindred spirits in the most unexpected places. (Report) Reply
