Legend In The Mirror (On Michael Jackson)
It’s no surprise that he would die
before his time
It’s hard imagining him at 89
He always lived his life like Peter Pan
Forever lost in dreams of Never-Land
And though it’s sad how fame can change a face
And how an idol can quickly fall from grace
His music - will never be erased
His legend - will always be embraced
So though he’s gone... alas!
... to Forever-Land...
We'll sing the songs
And dance the dance
I was never a fan of the guy, but this poem hits just the right note for me. There is a sadness here that I can appreciate.
