Lemonade Poem by Thomas Plotz

Lemonade

We had,
Lemonade on the veranda
As we talked about your children,
And our grandchildren, we now have running around

We were,
Way out in the country
Way west of Brooklyn,
Snuggling like cushions, on that terrace way out of town

That lemonade was well iced
Cooled us off quite nice,
As we,
Sat and talked for a while

And then you said, "lets go in" and you started to grin, so we did.~~I remember who else was in the house.~~That made me happy too. OK
