Let's Play In The Rain Poem by Janelle Morehart

Let's Play In The Rain

Rating: 5.0

The raindrops are pouring in
Come on let's go dont stay in
Thunder crashing
Lightning flashing
Come on
Let's watch it begin
Let's run till our feet are sore
Then let's run some more
Let's dance till we just can't dance
A second more
Don't tell me the day your leaving
Don't tell me goodbye
Come on let's go
I don't want to see you cry
Let's go play in the rain
Let god make us children again
Come on let's go play in the rain
Let's sing and dance as we always did
Let's jump and play
Don't tell me about the day you'll go astray
Don't ever say goodbye
Please, oh please
I can't bear to see you cry
The day come's and then it goes
The rain follows where sadness grows
Thunder rolls
Lightning screams
I stand alone
My tears disguised by God's crying sky
I think of the day we will see another again
Then I can ask you about the days
That we use to play in the rain
