Let That Ego Go Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Let That Ego Go

The one thing I find remarkable...
About your insistence,
To manipulate your way into the limelight.
With a persistence you solicit.
I wonder why?
Your talents defy comparison.
With gifts unlimited.
Let that ego go!
You can afford to get rid of it!

Just because people can afford to get rid of things doesn't mean they want to even though they can do without it.

Ego gets us into lots of trouble, it certainly gets in the way with its wanton desires for this and that, the trouble is its never satisfied. Surely it is better that we listen to our own true Self. Lawrence this poem needs to be read by all.
