Let's Just Dance Poem by Randy McClave

Let's Just Dance

Rating: 5.0

Make love and not war
We've heard that saying once before,
We even heard about giving peace a chance.
But, try and try as we may
No one listened to the words that the pacifists did say,
So, instead they listened to warmongers in a trance.
Why not give up on wars and fighting
Together with pens and paper let's all start writing,
Let brotherhood be our main and final stance.
Let's always help one and each other
And let kindness, love and sympathy be our mother,
In the soul let's not pierce compassion with a lance.
War, greed and hate those choices let's not pick
When we still have the poor and the needy and the sick,
If you don't mind give the good book a quick glance.
Let's drop our guns and our weapon's that we show
Let's then grab the empty hands of our foe,
And then in God's glory, let's just dance.

Very profound poem. To imagine if that were so would be a lovely setting and a better world. Amen.
