We seem to be living in a flawed
World, of conditioned existence,
Of tackling gritty here-and-now
Problems of work or life problems,
Of superficial habits, wants or needs.
If we only looked at ourselves in
Life's mirror I wonder what we will
See? We might just find that the
Ladder of our success is propped
Up against the wrong wall.
We have our political leaders lying
To the people who put them in power,
We have employers exploiting their
Workforce, guilty of creating climate
Change that we are too busy to see.
A very good and thought provoking poem. I believe that the future generations will need what we go through now as a through lesson on how not to do many things, ... contd.
Last stanza enchanting to read and very thought provoking Sir.
Very well written and realistic work that truly states our social flaws in a very clear and excellent way..
A powerful, insightful and incisive poem. Great thoughts to ponder about. I concur with the last stanza and these social ills must be checked and abhorred for the betterment of all. A well thought out poem.
An insightful analysis of the overwhelming problems of our society. The world is flawed in a sense because we have an ideal of what it should be however, ideals do not marry well to reality

I would like to translate this poem
(continuation from comment below) . At the same time I hope we can actively contribute to the kindness and wisdom revolution that will get us out of the chaos created by greedy politicians and corporate figures
We're often too busy to notice we are not happy with our life, and we plod in on autopilot and fail to change.
