Light In The Dark Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Light In The Dark

Rating: 3.5

The thought of you enters my mind,
I become paralyzed. Lost in a daze.
A fabricated reliability of having you near.
Opting to hum the melody of your name.
No words to complicate the thought of you near.
The rendezvous of our eyes lingering
Without need for citation.
Without need, without thirst
An illusion of sorts.
Closing my eyes. Seeing you clearer.
Spiritual arousal.
No longer caught in the limbo of what's physical.
Raw emotion found in the innocence
Of a thought
Fulfilling purpose
In life lessons.
As the thought of you stays on my mind
Spreading light where there was once darkness
Without you
