Like A Cloak Poem by Practicing Poetess

Like A Cloak

Rating: 5.0

You wear your pain
Like a cloak
That you wrap yourself in.
Your own protective shell,
Shutting all else out,
Allowing no room for soft breezes of comfort and safety.

*Like a wounded deer...looking for a place to die in solitude* Such is deep searing pain that is raw. Thank for a realistic human phenomenon expertly delivered.

Is there a greater pain than having no one to talk to?

Thank you, dear Kostas, for reading & rating! Self-imposed isolation is the cruelest of all. Rather foolish to use pain as a fortress to presumably protect against more pain! : -)
