Limerick: Jim Franckum

There is a young man named Jim Franckum,
And now I have great cause to thank 'im,
Because he got involved
And the puzzle he solved.
You others will all want to spank 'im.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Jim won the November 2016 contest by identifying the creature in the poem 'Mystery Creature'.
The same poem was used for the October Contest and nobody could solve it.
Jim noticed that the poem was an acrostic, and the first letter of each line spelled out SPINUS TRISTIS, which is the scientific name for the American Goldfinch.

Jim has only seven poems posted on Poem Hunter, so according to the rules does not qualify to be added to the poem 'Poetry Heaven', but does qualify for the GLORY of winning the contest.

I have now read all of Jim's seven poems, and there were a couple that I really liked. I recommend that you read

The Value of Pie (an acrostic poem)

and (this one made me laugh out loud at the last line)
My 80% Great Limerick.
