There was this floozy rather old
Loves to canoodle with the bold
She would ply them with beer
Till their eyes were quite blear
Then her beauty they would extol
Bri, I read several times. First reaction- -said to myself, Too true. After a second and third reading, the humour came bubbling to the surface. I reread and began to scroll down....and went some innocence, falling victim to.... Great humour, Bri!
well, i FINALLY found the photo i was searching for! ! ! i'll send the link to MJ Lemon soon, before PH erases the page to protect the innocent. :)
i have seen much younger (i think) women with eyes made similarly. aging can be tough on egos. and why not try to look one's best! ? she may just look like 'another old woman' without (so much) makeup, and is trying to save some of her youth. bri ;)
Your reaction tells me that you have a soft spot for her, Ho! Ho! Ho! I'm sorry Bri, I'm not even sure if it's a 'she'.
But, ....................seriously.................. actually, i've seen people who apparently were obsessive-compulsive with makeup. they are probably frequently nice people, just as 'very attractive' people can be 'not nice'. REMEMBER the saying: you can't tell a book by its cover! AND beauty is in the eye of the beholder! ! to MyPoemList. thanks. bri :)
NICE rhythm, and a bit of humor. i'll give you 'poetic license' for blear. OOPS! my error! ! ! i did not know of the definition of blear; i AM familiar with bleary. How DID you get a photo of my beloved mother! ? the photo shall haunt my dreams ceaselessly! (to be continued) ...

Though the Limerick is meant to be humourous, here, i feel sad again. Those who dress up like this are like circus clowns who laugh to show the world but cry from within. Loke, you have a special talent for Limericks and images too.
Nothing to feel sad about Geeta, he/she was just posing for a picture shoot.
