Limerick-The Great Fisherman-5 Poem by Loke Kok yee

Limerick-The Great Fisherman-5

Rating: 5.0

This great fisherman was quite without fear
Landed a huge catfish but got too near
The big fish swallowed him whole
That's the story I was told
His boots were mounted as a souvenir

Seeing the images which follow your poem, I always wonder from where you choose them! I am sure you see a picture and then write a limerick to go with it! However, they are so amusing! Here it seems both the fisher men and the fish met with a tragic end!

You are absolutely right Valsa, A tragic end makes it more amusing?

Was the cat fish so big that it swallowed the big fisherman? Ha ha ha Loke! Your poems are so, so funny. How do you get pictures so appropriate to the poem or is it vice versa? Whatever it is, the fact is that your Limericks make me so cheerful. Thanks

For limericks I will look at a picture and try to make something out of it, for longer poems I write first and then browse for an appropriate picture. Either way way, I get lots of fun! ! Thanks Geeta, more to come.

Now that's a big fish. That would be absolutely terrifying to be a fish dinner instead of having a fish for dinner. LoL

The fish probably got a tummy ache that day. Thanks Simone.
